hi everyone
my name is pat, i just signed up. just started hunting a couple of days ago, when i got a very worn 36 quarter back in change. i noticed it when i got home, saw it was silver, and a lightbulb went off lol. so my local bank only had 8$ in half dollars, and i scored a 63 Franklin! pics below;

thanks, guys.
it seems none of the banks here (upper west side) even know what a half-dollar is. you should have seen the looks i got spending the extras at bogegas!
i think this is going to be a fun hobby.
also, on a visceral level, i like the idea that although the price of candybar has doubled, and the price of a ride on the subway has tripled since i was a kid (i'm 33) this 50 cent piece is worth approx. 20x more than when our goverment minted it!
