I think with all your posts your just used to the old format..but I am also all for the protection of my data and info an all for having this forum still running cause this is now cheaper to run for them and much safer.

As someone who has been here longer than 90% of you, I say chill out and give them a chance to tweak the new software. I'm sure they are reasonable and will listen to our requests as to what needs to be done to make it as user friendly as possible with this new format. It's like buying a new car, you gotta learn all the new features and performance capabilities. They aren't stupid and I seriously doubt they want to lose any of their member base. So far it seems they really are trying to meet our requests as fast as they can. I know it's a strange, scary new place around here for many, but love it or hate it, this is it. The old Tnet is no more and contrary to popular opinion, it's not the end of the world. Deal with it. Instead of posting crap like this, try bringing up your legitimate concerns in detail on the appropriate thread here- http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/g...w-software-help-bug-glitch-report-thread.html. Which I see you haven't done.

I finally found the old forums but it takes too long for a page to come up. This is not as good as the older forum and not as easy to use. It is not user friendly.

I find I get on quicker now. I notice the posting times are wrong, but I figure they will get it set soon. I like how it is easy to read and how the hunts are posted where you can't miss them. All in all, I think it's better.

Everything changes, I get that..I am not scared of change and usually adapt after awhile..My beef is that TN was UNIQUE, now it LOOKS LIKE ALL OF THE OTHER metal detecting forums that are out there on the net..V bulletin is used by lots of sites, I didnt go to those sites because they were all the same and TN was DIFFERENT..Time will tell what the future holds I guess..

It is just a different format. We can still do what we did with the old format, post finds and discuss them.

It does look like all the others, which is why I rarely visited all the others. TNET was my #1 MD site to visit and post. Its layout was unique and very simple to navigate and read posts. I find the others to be user UNfriendly and difficult to navigate. I don't like this layout either - new is not always better. But I doubt it will matter. This is probably what we're stuck with. However, I will give it a chance.

Everyone knows I have been a big supporter of Treasurenet, I will try to use this new format but it is not going to be easy. I am a member of all the treasure websites, I chose TN over all the others for the ease of navigation and the experts that were here, but ease of navigation is what kept me here, it was simple to see what was posted, who posted it and when it was posted from the forum page. You could quickly scan the "Recent Finds, Beach and fresh Water" or any other of the many forums from their main forum page and pick out what you wanted to see and read, you can't do that now. I could care less about the graphics or the emoticons, it was the ease of navigation that made TreasureNet the best out there....

Some good, some bad for us I pad users. Main forum screen is way too busy and hard to read but individual posts are better and pics are slower to load but clearer.

We are doing our best to bring back the feel of the old navigation, it's just going to take some time to get it just right. In the mean time, if you have any questions on the new site we'll do our best to answer any questions!

What happen to the stats? As a charter member I had access to all the sites stats, I could see how many people registered today, yesteday and all the way back to the start of TN. I could see how many people were on line each day of each month, how many posts were made each day of each month how many new charter members there were each day and so on and this went back to the start of TN. I looked in the archives and theya re not there.

It appears the only stat I do find just tells most users online and only go back to the time the new webpage was loaded.... I used the stats as part of the charter membership drives I did to help support TN......

We are still working on implementing all the features for charter members. You'll notice more things added next week.
