I had the last hour to kill tonight and decided to hit an older farm that I just received permission on. The owner wanted to chit chat a little bit so I only ended up swinging the MD for about a 1/2 hour. In that time I only covered a small portion of his front yard and there is a LOT of yard to cover. Once again it is one of those spots that was detected before. Nothing big-time here to show but some first digs for me...a war nickel (1942P) and a "complete" crotal bell. Also, what is it with 1919 wheats? I can't believe how many of this year I dig! We might have a little rain coming so I hope to hit this site again soon to cover the rest.

Cool!! Looks like a great place to hunt, hope you find some really good stuff there. If the nickel is any indicator you may find alot of silver there. Good luck and keep us posted :thumbsup:HH Steve

Looks like a good spot, nice finds. I found a razor handle just like that, and I know what you mean about those 1919 wheats they pop up everywhere. HH

At least you got to get out...Nice Digs, the rest of the property awaits. HH

Very nice job! 1919 wheaties are probably just more common to dig for some reason. Maybe there was a lot more minted then others.
