this one is a Sauvie Island basal notch...sometimes called hafted notch. It is very specific to the the area it was found in and although it looks damaged it isn't...just sort of awkward and knapped on a curving flake. But it is a nice agate and the eight year old nearly wet himself when he picked it up. About 1,500-400 BP.

Nice !!! He will always remember finding it. One of my oldest memories as a kid was my older bro finding a knife blade as we walked across a dried lake bed. We were blown away by it. I was probably about 8...
