Here are a few items that were found without my detector while walking around a renovated building in Richmond back on the 7th. The building was built in the late 1800's, and among others was the Lady Byrd Hat Building...I believe it was some sort of paper mill before that, and before it was built, was an indian camp...very close to the James River, and right next to the locks...I found a couple of square nails, an old insulator, some coal, some rock that looks like coal, but is heavier and is more like glass...some bits of black glass, blue glass, green glass, brown, and some clear with some sort of design on it...also bits of china with some blue patterns, and other bits of stoneware...also found some great pieces of Topaz...I know it seems silly to most, but even without a detector, I can't help myself from picking things up that look old!
as always, thanks for looking,

I like exploring and picking up things I find as well. I found a 3 Ball Mason jars and 2 partial lids that I was able to date back to the 1930's.
