Pretty confident to launch a new product like that and ask similar prices to the market leader without any real base line user feedback. It’s made in Turkey I believe. I was seriously not impressed with the Makro build quality. Nakota products in general seemed to appear better based on appearance of the outside. They are/were sister companies sharing a factory and technology. Not sure now. Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited for new products and competition! The “WEE hoo WEE hoo” tone means big bucks these days despite similar manufacturing costs as drastically less expensive detectors. I know, go out and find two ounces and you’re making $$. That’s true.

I take it that there is not much being said about the dual receiver, that one will signal and the other is less prominent?

Anyone willing to test out the detector?
What other issues should one look or check out?
Any input on the other coils that will come out down the road?

At this point I'm willing to check out the update programing levels and how easy to tweak on say your computer / laptop out in the field.

The 19" coil should be interesting if it can run on an update program and maybe tweaked out in the field for your type of gold.

For the price of over $8,000 for a first of its kind new product, the primary item of value IS the software. Doubtful they will make it open source to the public. These PI detectors are extremely overpriced for what they are. The manufacturing price of the hardware is no different than VLF detectors.

Not if they'll find gold that other machines can't.

Notka says there will be software program updates. Just when and how is not known at this time.
The coils should be different then a VLF?
Price is determined by the results and time saved as a potential value price point.

I got to briefly use the Magnatar but not in a prospecting situation. The mechanical design and build quality seems to be excellent. The big-deep-target performance seems to be excellent. It was originally designed to compete with the GPZ 7000, and my guess is that it out-7000s the 7000. Does it out-8000 the 8000? Not sure, as I only got about 1 minute with the 8000. But the Magnatar is exactly the same constant-current technology (ZVT) used in the 7000 and 8000 and, given the high price, I expect that Nokta is pretty darned confident they have a strong competitor.

That is one minute more of use then all of the people here posting so far. Thanks for pointing out the constant-current technology is being used.

The question is a 9000 model greater than a 7000 or 8000 model...........:laughing7::icon_scratch::cat:
