So I was at a friends house and he has a 6 year old who was all about running around in the backyard with the pinpointer finding the metal fences and such. My girlfriend decided to find something for him to dig up to chill him out and she found a few signals and he dug it them up. He found this.

It seems like copper and looks like something a women would wear.

I am not sure what it is the back threw me off. I also wonder what was in the setting. But that is a solid find for my friends kid to dream up ideas about. I asked him what he thought it was and he said a badge from a poor soldier from the old times... I then asked what he though the old times where and he said 1970's hahahaha.

Late Victorian sash clasp, the other half (the hasp) is missing. This piece would have hooked into the loop side, a little similar to many buckles. If you look at the oval recess on the front with the 4 small clips, it would have held a nice decorated? (piece of glass or stone or ?)

It is great to get the youngens out and really spool up their imagination.
Nice find by the way, maybe take a sifter there and find the stone.

Shoot, That is a great find and the little guy will be hooked for life. Crusader is right on with the ID, and I bet the other half is in the yard too, it may have been a victim of an old burn pile or trash-burying site. I would hit the yard hard for the clasp! Best of luck, happy hunting. Sub
