OBX bound, but where to concentrate my MD'ing?

Hi all! I'm planning on going to OBX soon, and was wondering which beach areas I need to concentrate on while I'm there? I plan on being at least in Duck, and Corolla. Appreciate any advise.

Duck and Corolla are really built up with beach houses,and I am not sure if MDing is allowed.Most gift shops in the banks sell "GHOST FLEET OF THE OUTER BANKS" map that was published in a 1970 NATIONAL GEOGRAPHICS,and was complied by Outer Banks historian,David Stick of Kitty Hawk.It shows the basic location of a least 200 wrecks,and would be a good start for your location.HH

you can hunt anywhere on the beach but on park land good luck HH

Years ago, Dave Horner told me his boat mechanic found gold coins near the dunes at Old Currituck Inlet. It's pretty much the VA/NC state line. You're not too far from there if you're in Corolla. Hope you do well!
