This has become a fun activity that originated in Oregon.
Get a rock, paint a design on it, hide it, post photo and clues, and the finder posts the find and sometimes hides it again.

Take the time to look at some of these painted rocks- some of the artwork is outstanding!
...and, I discovered it is not that easy to actually paint on a rock.

The painted rocks have passed the 4000 mark count, businesses have also gotten involved, and more people get involved.
I have new rock music oriented designs to add to the hunt.

One of my cousins, up in Philly, is into that.
She's already found 4 rocks and plans on replanting them with her daughter, once the daughter returns from summer camp. I think she found an Ocala rock in Philly(I'd hafta double check, though).
I'm kinda doubting, anyone in S. Fl., be even thinkin' bout painting rocks.....
