I searched some old wheat penny rolls that looked to be unsearched and forgotten for some time and I found a really cool off metal lincoln. Please, someone help me to identify this coin. The coin has a plating of some sort; most likely copper, and the underlying metal is white! Really and truly, this coin needs to be checked out. There has not been any alterations to the coin and what you see is real. off metal 009.webpoff metal 001.webpoff metal 012.webp

I do not know him either, Bigcypresshunter. I am trying to say that after honest opinions and advice are given that we should simply let him believe what he wants to believe.

yes Beating a dead horse only leads to fights

I need to learn to post my opinion and move on, I guess.

But remember, with power comes responsibility. Can a person be banned for either purposely or unknowingly aged constantly posting what are clearly fantasies to fire up the masses? Sone of these reoccurring posters never learn from the knowledge given to them so why keep letting them post their "dream" posts?

You want opinions on the coin, but only "it's worth a fortune" opinions, correct? Slap it on eBay if you think it has any value.

My opinion is that it's worth one cent.

I think Huntsman53 hit it the first time we saw this coin last month: something applied to the coin post-mint that has since peeled.

I was possibly wanting history; stay off my thread if you think this is worth a cent. This is a true experimental or error coin. hopefully someone without comments will answer and not someone that knows nothing about the validity of this coin.

Well, I guess there is no history; maybe its a discovery? I will keep you posted about my certification when due. Maybe in future postings you will respect facts Thanks for the comments though

So, only someone who knows nothing about coins should reply? Gotcha.

I know everything about post mint damage but this is not the case

whoa man, what are you saying? also wouldnt it be true to say that integrity is the cause of YOUR accusation? I am honest. youll feel soooo bad when I get my cert. I was looking for possible history but I guess I am in the wrong place. I have had this looked at and they say it is exceedingly rare, so whoever you are, your biting too hard

Sorry, but you don't dictate who posts comments on your threads. You asked for opinions and you're getting them.

Is there possibly any literature about this sort of error sir? possibly? but no, this coin may not be for the novice

Wow. Well it's an honor to have met someone who knows everything about any subject.

Obviously you don't need my help as I know very little about most things, and I don't know everything about anything.

But be careful: You can't learn more when the brain is full.

What sort of error you think you have? A mint plated or coated coin?
