I remember a buddy that sold detectors. He was convinced that he had the magical wand.
He handed me a bag of gold jewelry and told me to hide it.
He came back into his basement showroom, and started his demonstration on locating the bag of gold.

It swung every which way but never stopped on the hidden gold.
He blamed the safe in the corner for being the interference. 🤣
Asking price then was crazy even in the 1980s

People want to believe.....and there's always some chump willing to
take their money.

[Chilli]

Former boss in a shop got one of those. Had a 9 volt battery, some cheapo circuit and an led light that lit up randomly.
That ones way more sophisticated looking than the toy he paid 500 bucks for. 😄

[AstralDruid]

I remember! a regular poster saying that he has a hundred of these type things?? or more....

[UnderMiner]

Dr. Egon Spengler called, he wants his P.K.E. Meter back (there's ghost on the loose).

[ARC]

Does it find Rum as well.... ?
I might be interested if so.

[mtnmanpp]

it needs one more antenna then it will find alllll the gold

[Chilli]

🤩 It finds...... everything!!!

[UnderMiner]

🤩 It finds...... everything!!!

I'm honestly suprised it doesn't have a "cure all diseases" button so you will never get sick while using it.

I'm honestly suprised it doesn't have a "cure all diseases" button so you will never get sick while using it.

Great idea! 😃
Just sent them an email with that recommendation for it.
Bounced, huh!? What does this mean?

Tried again, don't say I never give up 🥰
Huh!?

[DizzyDigger]

Hard to imagine, but someone came up with that design, created the blueprints and then
had molds and antennas made for it, then assembled it all....plus the cost of all the marketing
stuff.

Thought they were gonna get rich.....

[russau]

I wonder how many of them did sell ?

[DizzyDigger]

They sell that thing on Amazon for $2340..and the reviews aren't so hot....
in fact, they're hilarious to read.

"I bought gold hunter
It takes me to rocks
We dug 3 meters, found out it takes you to rocks"

Says it can locate stuff 60m deep (that almost 197 ft.), and they give you a
little folding shovel as an accessory.

I'd bet $50 it couldn't locate gold in a jewelry store ....

[Lanny in AB]

Yes, it finds everything, but will it find my wife in a shopping mall when her phone isn't turned on?
If so, it might be worth it.

[CoinsAndThings]

🤩 It finds...... everything!!!

I see it also finds cavities. Like the cavity in your wallet

[Johnnybravo300]

Looks like a colonoscopy tool.

[Chilli]

Looks like a colonoscopy tool.

Given its definitely a piece of crap that's a fair description I would say 😂

You have to get the non-conductive carbon fiber grip for it to work correctly.
