Oh YEAH! It's GOLD!!! My first!!!
...14k to be exact! I found this in the most unlikely spot. I was staying in Lunenburg for the weekend and was driving back to the motel when I noticed a patch of woods which looked kind of barren. I thought that I might be able to find a military button there as it was close to a WWII camp which housed the Norwegian army. I thought they may have done a little training there. I started swinging and found this!
This is the 1st gold that I have ever found. I do not hunt parks or schools and usually stick to the fields so stumbling on a gold ring would be rare. It is quite heavy and substantial. It is stamped "Shute & Co. 14K". There is also a hallmark. I've tried to find info on Shute & Co. but have come up blank. Can anyone tell me anything about the maker? Thanks for looking.
