I went to a spot which is right outside the French quarter in New Orleans and I went to the spot IMG_2037.webp
Unfortunately they had about 8 inches of fill so that was unfortunate, but directly across the street they were doing construction and it was fenced off I wanna walk up to the fence I could see hundreds of chard glass I mean it was everywhere so of course I’m thinking caviar dreams of silver so I caught one of the guys leaving and I asked him if I could Metal Detecting there he said sure knock yourself out. It was hard wasn’t as easy as I thought if I was looking for charred glass it would be easy even marbles I got a little figurine I got a 2 1/2 cent token which had no advertising just a 2 1/2. Then I start to clean what I thought was a piece of land and working it with my pencil it says ONE CENT Which would only be my second I have ever gotten in my five years my question to you is do I put a light electrolysis on it? I know it sounds crazy but I put a one cent That showed nothing so I had nothing to lose and it came out like thisimage-2021-05-13-21:15:12-228.webp

The question is is do I gamble on this piece or do I just do the best I can on cleaning it with my Andre crayon? Now I have ruined a lot of things trying to get a date I have to admit my record isn’t too well but I’m also a gambling man which is always been my downfall I have my face scanned at every casino we got down here so I can’t gamble anymore true story. It’s so evil out here in New Orleans LOL So this is what I found today I will first show you my ONE CENT image-2021-05-13-21:20:21-528.webp

Antiquarian I know Mulate’s very well they make their gumbo with a dark roux and I like that. Next time you’re in town I’ll bring you to some hole in the wall places that the food will make you cry :laughing7
Sounds great buddy. :occasion14:
I've traveled extensively through the US with my job and I found you get the best food where the locals eat. I always made it a point to try the favorite food in each region... although I never got used to the taste of catfish. I remember doing a sales training at HERC Rentals in Baton Rouge and they served a big plate of deep fried catfish for lunch... I just couldn't get this image out of my head. :laughing7:

So you’re telling e that catfish has another taste other than being delicious?

The wife probably cooks the best other than my crawfish [emoji3081] IMG_2196.webp

This was my lunch and dinner yesterday. I think I’ll just invite you to eat at my house.

I'm sure if you grew up eating it, then you either love it or hate it. :laughing7:
My Mom was Irish, so we grew up eating Sheppard's Pie, Swiss Steak and Bangers & Mashed, so I'm not exactly what you'd call a 'cultured eater'.
You're wife looks to be an amazing cook. I do all of the cooking in our house, so my wife and daughter don't dare complain about the fare.

Thanks for the invite, as soon as the Canada/US borders open up, I'll be on the first flight to Abita Springs.
