Hey Guys, found this a while ago. Looks Like a old Brooch, I'd Wonder If it is older than 1850 though, because the oldest finds I Made on the place where around that.
Found in Germany, the Button I placed in one Pictures was from the Same place and is made 1850-1880.

What are the dimensions? Where is the button mentioned?

It's pretty small, length of the brooch should be around 1,20 inches (3cm).
Here's a button with the same motive from 1850-1900:
5 Antike Knopf KNÖPFE mit Ritter 1880

Actually, the brooch could be older. It was on a field which isn't farmed but maybe was in earlier times - I don't know... But it was surrounded by farmed fields.

This is a long shot - but you may be able to estimate the date of the brooch(?) from the type of clothes the person is wearing in the first picture. If not an alternative might be to send the pictures to a museum curator or archaeologist for their opinion. Still not seeing a picture of the button:dontknow:

That's the button in the first picture, it had nothing to do with the brooch, found it like 100 metres away. Just put it in for the size and because it fits well xD

Damn, so that is the button:BangHead: Ok, if there are no maker's marks, the style may help determine the age. Good luck!

I'm thinking... Victorian era 'bar pin' or 'collar bar'. Late 19th C.

Thank you! 2 other guys in a german board were also saying it's not older than 19th century - so I marked as solved.
