old coin spill, rare liberty cap

My son and I were hunting a wooded area and found 11 LC and 3 Spanish reals. I had one hole that produced two liberty cap LC, 1793 @179?, one draped bust and 1734 1/2 real. I ended up with three more draped bust LC and a 1781 1/2 real. My son ended up with five draped bust LC and a 1782 1 real, all of the LC are in the 1790s

That's one heck of a hunt. Love the Milled Pillar. I'm confused as to the lack of buttons though. There has been times when I have found just coins so I guess maybe it's not that unusual. Liberty caps are my favorite coppers. I would go back and kill that site so hard until you are doing nothing but beating a dead horse.

My imagination runs wild with a story of someone at a tavern on a stage coach road who had too much drink and too freely showed his purse about, was chased to a thicket of woods where he lost his coins before persons of ill intent had caught up to him....

Any history of a nearby Tavern or stage road LOL
