Ft Davis? That's my old stomping ground. I have liberated many an arrowhead from the Davis Mountains.
Never had the opportunity to work that area with a MD.
Might have to remedy that some day.

Let's see some pictures.

Odd, they look so much like the modern ones! ::)

Really, I envy those that live in the south and don't have to wait for the ground to thaw out. :icon_sunny:

I'm a contractor / renovator and the guys always toss them into a coffee can stashed in the back of our construction trailer. So, I have a bunch of them and you are welcome to them all..... just pay the freight :laughing7:

UGH!!! nails kill me... i dig almost every signal around old homesites and the nails drive me nuts! I have a few that were very odd that i kept over the years tho. One came from the old santee canal in south carolina it is huge thinking maybe it was a pin for blocks instead of a nail.

I'm a noob with only one weekend on my coil. I found a few of those searching an empty field that used to be part of a farm. Is finding square nails much of an indication of a "good" versus "bad" place to detect? I suppose if they're just junk from an old barn, it probably doesn't mean much. :dontknow:
