Only one penny today

Got permission to do an old site today...the owners claims the house is actually built around an orignal log cabin. So I took off in the wooded lot behind the place and started hitting shot gun shells and tons of car junk, all reading up around quarter and dollar. Then I spotted what appeared to be an old, old wagon road in the woods. Nothing but dead silence in head phones...

Just about to give up, IDX shouts at me...locks dead on quarter. I dig down to retrive another car part, only that wagon wheel sized coin rolls out instead. Turns out to be 1833 large cent :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

The owner was so excited to see the coin, now he wants me to dig all the grass around the house....he doesn't care about what I find, he's just happy that my finds prove the age of his house.

A new site for large cents an open invitation to dig all I want? That's just not a bad day.
