Well my daughter (12 years old) and I decided we would go MDing this morning at o dark thirty. As soon as I woke her up this morning I knew it was going to be a very good day! Our day started out just like any other day with a stop at QuikTrip for some donuts, coffee and a coke then off to a early 1900's Elementary School in Liberty Missouri. As we got there we started recovering clad and a few match box cars. We left there and went to the high school in Liberty and hit some more clad. We then left there and went to an old house outside of Liberty and this is where the memory of my lifetime began.

As we started searching we hit a memorial penny and then it happened! We got a really deep signal and she started to dig the hole. She dug down about 9 to 10 inches and there it was! She grabbed it and jumped up and started screaming and as she done this I grabbed her in a bear hug and spun her around and around and I tried to spit out it was a mercury dime but I couldn't. Through all the excitement I forgot what it was. I knew what it was but couldn't spit it out. Once I put her down we both looked at it and seen it was a 1941 Mercury dime which was in really good condition. We both sat down and rested at this point and she started talking about all the other stuff we were going to find together. We went on to find a 1919 Wheat penny about 20 minutes later and called it a day. We will be heading back to this place in the near future for sure!

THis weekend is her birthday and she will be getting a new metal detector. She is going be one happy little girl!

Oh and I almost forgot. She won her football game on Saturday 26 to 6. She plays cornerback for Liberty Blujays Pop Warner. I am one happy Father!
