Beautiful day today after a wild weekend of weather here.
My new Gold Monster worked brilliantly. Took it to a surface area that was rich in gold in the past but man o man has it been hammered over the years with every detector imaginable. Ultra popular spot. Little targets everywhere that have never been dug, was a ton of fun.

How sensitive is this thing in the worst of mineralised ground?

Ten bits for just .56 grams but in todays money in AUD that was $108. 😁

Not waterproof, so, not a good idea for the beach. It also may drive you crazy with all the tiny aluminum targets it will pick up.

Solid haul. The Gold Monster handles mineralized ground better than most, but clay and iron still limit depth.

Hi Gare. I can't recall the 2200 being modded other than using a regulated battery system rather than the run down standard gel cell one it originally came with. There was mods for the SD2000 and I know of mods for the 4500 and 5000. I'll check it out and see if anyone does the 2200.

Hi thanks. Do you mean the 1000 or 2000 limited in depth in clays? I have been so far really impressed by its depth in mineralised clays and ironstone infested ground here in the Golden Triangle. Though I don't doubt there will be some ground somewhere that will be its nemesis like all gold detectors. So far so good though.
