This was our last day on this field & we made it count, we finished the site in just over 4 hours.

It will take some effort to beat this day

24 Roman Bronze Coins
Lead Roman Steelyeard Weight
Roman Bronze Bead
2 Medieval Belt Mounts
4 Roman Silvers - 1st C Denarius, 2 debased 3rd C Ant.s, 1 Very nice Siliqua of Juilian II.
2 Celtic Bronzes - unidentified Bull Reverse & a Rues (Tasciovanus) AE Unit. ca 10 BC - 10 AD. Lion right / Eagle with spread wings.
1 Celtic Silver Unit - Cunobelin, ca. 10-43 A.D. Silver Unit. Draped and winged bust r.; CVNO. Rv. Sphinx seated l.; TASCIO. See similar:

Celtic Coins are rare to find, both of these types are very rare, so 3 in a day is a record for us.
Topped off with a 13th C Medieval Seal Matrix

As we spent 3 years clearing this small site before this deep plough which brought up a number of new things, we will put it to the bottom of the pile until the next deep plough in a few years time We hopefully have bigger fish to fry

Normally I can make some sense of them but this doesn't follow the normal pattern, ie. starting with a * or + & then S' or other abbreviations of 'Seal of' etc....
Its says:
AAVEMEMAGRAC?

that would be probably AVE MARIA GRACIA


I've just noticed that if you add a few letters and change them round, then change some of the original letters for other ones, it spells "SHOULDHAVEMADEBANNER" , spelling is not my strong point though

How weird is that

You could also make "ISITCOZIISENGLISH"

Your a big help here on the forum.With Id's and help for others.Your finds are the stuff and I know it's true because I've seen plenty wish they were over there making finds like you. Rather this find of yours gets up top or not.I hope it does not discourage you.( i'm sure it won't to much) I sure have learned alot from you.It's a great find.
