Metal Detecting
So all summer I had been digging my secret spot. It was a lake that was drained to fix up a dam, I found a gold ring and tons of silver, well around Late August the entire place overgrew with plants and all the metal detectors stopped coming. The dog park I visit often was right by there so I was still going by. One day I see 2 bulldozers, dozing the beach, pushing the sand all the way down, I knew I had to detect again, and when I did I was literally FILLING my pouch with silver and gold. Here are some pictures of the stuff I found. I was still finding stuff there last week, but my pointer broke and its being sent in for repair which may effectively end my detecting for the year and the lake is being filled in in 2 weeks... sad. But alas, heres the finds:

I wouldn't let your lack of a pinpointer stop you, go to Harbor Freight and buy a cheap one or order a new one from vendor and have it over nighted, that is too good opportunity to give up... One gold ring pays for a new pinpointer.

If I had a spot like this I don't think I would ever put my detector down :) Great finds!

Unbelievable ! Congrats occasion14:

That's quite a haul! Congrats! Beautiful older rings!
Get back there ASAP!
Maybe you should get a cheap pointer from harbor freight for around $20, or borrow one.

That's a home run. Congrats on all of the loot!

OMG! Killer Hunt! Hit it until your arm falls off and then hit it some more!

Why can't this happen to me. Great finds, thanks for sharing.

Um...so why would a broken pinpointer stop you? Get out there and dig that site!

i never use a pin pointer, just a big shovel. thats the kind of site you call in sick for work.

I love lake drawdowns..wait your stopping because your pin pointer broke? Get back out there zon...

Incredible. That's one heck of a spot.

Go to harbor Freight and get a cheap Cen tech pinpointer until you get yours back. It'll cost you 18 bucks.
It should last at least a week before you have to replace the switch.

Nice accumulation of goodies!

oh man you scored some sweet finds. wow what a hunt!

Wow! You found a gold mine. Congrats.
