After getting my parents unpacked in their new house, my father gave me a couple of my Grandfathers war trophies that he brought home from WW2. I sure wish he was still around now that I am older and understand. I thought I would share them with ya guys and gals.

Reminds me of when a friend confided in me that his grandfather died at a German Concentration Camp.

If felt terrible until .........

he then added ..... "When he fell out of the guard tower". ::)

Take well care of those things Stormtrooper154. ;)

WOW ~ what neat keepsakes from your family. That's cool you got 'em now!

I'm glad that you have those momentos of your grandfathers service to our country. I'm sorry that you cannot speak with him about what he saw, but maybe others that he served with will give you some information. You can also get a copy of his service record, if you wish.

Hope it helps.

Storm--
I've got a nice little display case for you. You get in touch with me this week and I'll hand it over to you.

wow that is cool man. my grandma lived in what is now Slovakia and told me about how the Russians and Germans were street fighting in her village.
