Hello fellow TNeters. We had amazing weather today here in bright and sunny Florida, perfect for an all day hunting spree! My nephew (Swingin4clad) and I made four stops today to detect and found clad all over. Each stop I found more and more.
My first stop was by an old house from the 30s (pic 1). I didn't find anything significant just coins.
Second stop was an open field next to our local grocery store (pic 2). It was used for small carnivals and yard sales. Again nothing significant. But I did find a 30-06 round that hadn't been fired. Thought that was pretty cool.
Third stop was the Elementary School Playground (pic 3). Here I cleaned house. I couldn't stop finding coins. I did get two nice wheat pennies: 1944 D and 1953 D and a 1966 Canadian penny.
My last stop was the Kindergarden playground on the other side of the elementary school (pic 4). I also cleaned house here. Coins were everywhere. I found another 1953 D here also.
All in all I ended up with roughly 220 coins with monetary value of $16.97, a cheap knock off chain, 3 wheaties, 1 Canadian, 37 quarters, 66 dimes, 109 pennies, couple of buttons, a magnet and a few tokens. This was my first school playground I have ever hit. Lets just say Ill be hunting all the local elementary playgrounds in my area
! This brings my running total to roughly $31.00 towards paying off the detector! Good thing my brother gave me a great deal and I only have to pay $70 bucks for it!!
Cheers,
