is there a proper way to start a peach tree seedling from the pit ? would like to know. certian type of soil, fertilizer,etc. never done a fruit tree. appreciate a reply. thanks and happy new year. goldie

A word of caution, though: the resulting tree may not yield peaches of exactly the same type or quality. This is because many peach varieties are grown from grafted stock.

You have to stratify (freeze) them for about 3 months to break their dormancy.

same with walnuts And dogwood needs a bird to eat it first

thanks everyone. forgot about grafts. freeze them for dormancy sure thing i do that with my lawn grass seed again HAPPY NEW YEAR goldie
