Doe's anyone here use a pinpointer while cleaning out crevices? If so what model would you recommend?

The MD-20 is also good for scanning rocks that have non-visible from the outside. The depth of the MD-20 is better than a dedicated pinpointer.
 
Would a Pistol Probe being a PI pinpointer work for scanning cracks and crevices?
