I know this is treasurenet and this sounds like a silly question but can anyone here ID this plant?

Yellow dock? Something in the image or description for size comparison would sure help.

Looks like a mullein that has not grown its spike yet .

Yes, Mullein. A plant that some medicinal qualities. Very good as a tea that helps in opening up the lungs. Sure would like to get some pod heads and seeds. The spike head with seeds does not grow until the second year of growth.

you'll know if it's mullein by the fuzzy leaves . it does make a good tea for respiratory congestion. BUT you must filter it or the fuzz from the leaves will irritate your throat. It grows wild here on my farm and I use it as needed.
