Post your $1 (or less) Finds Here w/ Sold For Prices

Was it Tiffany by chance? Did you acid test it? Just curious.

Hi,
no tiffany, marked italy and a trademark with 750, so i took it with a grain of salt till the guy tested it and checked out good.

Walt Disney World 3D Mug Cups Lot of 4 14 oz Mugs Cups | eBay

I got each one for $0.99 cents ($4 total) and sold the lot for $42 shipped. This should count for this thread. Please let me know. Gotta love Disney!
Sure, why not. lol. I just picked up a pair of Disney Mickey and Minnie mugs myself. I was gonna use them, now I may just sell them. Thing is, the lady had half a dozen more mugs and I didn't buy them because i'm trying to "cut down" on my habit. This was one of the ones I passed on- Walt Disney World Cars Alice Mickey Cinderella Character Coffee Mug Cup Grandpa | eBay maybe a one-off but still, I should have bought the rest of them darn it. :BangHead: :laughing7:

Keep 'em coming you all. The wife bought a bag full of Victorias Secret perfumes, body sprays and lotions a couple weeks ago. Maybe 30 pieces or so total. Paid $10 for all of it so way less than a dollar each. I sold just the body sprays and lotions as a lot. Started the bidding at .99, it sold last night for over $90 plus shipping.

Paid 99 cents sold for $50

Weirdness. Just happened now, picked a modern chinese small vase worth about $10 and a Chinese man sees it in my cart and offers me $5 for it. Gotta love free money.

Yesterday, the wife found a big stack of sewing patterns for $1 each. She spent $91. One of those patterns sold 3 minutes ago for $25 BIN.

Bought these two bottle caps at a flea market last week for .25 cents each, sold the grape for $4.99 and the orange for $10.50. Not getting rich, but pretty good markup on .25 cent items.

Also bought a Microsoft Office 2003 Standard full edition CD with case, key and guide for $1.00, got a bid for $9.99 already, 8 watchers and a few more days to go. It should go for $20 or so. Again, not retiring early on these, but any time I can turn $1 into $5, $10 or $20, I'm happy!

I wish the caps I dig up could sell like that. Nice score.

Sold this guy for $50 + shipping today, got it for a buck at a thrift store in Boston.

Nice return on the ball cap. Is it authorized by Rolex? I have seen these before and passed them up because I assumed they were mall kiosk stuff.

I actually don't think it is. However, it is very well constructed and made in the USA, so perhaps it is licensed? It doesn't look like a cheap knockoff, I was thinking it could have been a giveaway at a rolex sponsored golf event. I showed pictures of the tag in my listing though, so the buyer knew exactly what they were getting. Here's a picture of the tag, I've seen this exact hat sell on ebay for similar amounts so I'm assuming that buyers are fine with the hat not having a rolex label on the inside.

Looked up the company, the hat is legit. Here's a quote from their website: "As a customer for fifteen years, Thalhimer Headwear has consistently produced a quality product for us. We have always been proud to put our logo on their hats. Their service and creativity keeps them ahead of the pack. They are a first class company to work with."
Colette C. Bennett, National Sports Marketing Manager, Rolex Watch USA, Inc.

Looks like they make hats for Mack trucks, Rolex, Orvis, Filson, Beretta, and a bunch of other high quality companies. Yet another company to be on the lookout for!

Nice follow up with the research. Another something to keep an eye out for.

My big score for today:

I found a soft cover book for .25 at GWO, and sold it today for $100. I had it listed at $199 BIN/BO, but took the $100 offer. I probably should have countered at $125, but felt that $100 was better in my hand than a maybe sometime down the road.

Unbelievable on those Rolex caps. I see that several have sold in that price range. These weren't even on my radar due to the huge number of bogus "Luxury brand" caps and t shirts out there. Thanks for that.

Picked this up for $1 . Beautiful Fenton Vase
Wife might claim it LOL

Thanks for the tip on the hats! I grabbed this Polo hat today for $1, looks like they do well on eBay too. I put it up on ebay for $9.99 starting bid, we'll see how it does.
