Nice Gold coin ! WTG , gold never loses its age unlike bronze like the Greek Bee Stag coin i found dating back to 212BC to 320BC ;D how that coin ended up here in Long Island 8 inches deep on a very old estate is still a mystery ? but i will take it HH Jim

A "Sechsling" silver coin of the town of Lübeck, dates about 1392.

Front: MONETA LVBICENSIS
Back: CIVITAS IMPERIALIS

Can anyone from the good old USA post a coin found here pre 1400. I wonder what the oldest coin in the USA was.

Yea I cought that as soon as I posted. Ther oldest American coin I ever found was a 1773 Virginia Half Cent

Yep that's what I thought :o I think the record for a coin here is £360.000..that was for the Colnewolf Gold penny :icon_scratch:
