All Treasure Hunting
My 4 year old and I were cleaning out the detectors bag for our trip to Ireland and he started asking questions about it, so I said, here I'll show you how it works. I turned it on did a few sweeps and I got a low buzz. I pin pointed it and started to dig, this is what we found. 10k, not sure if the stone is real or not, but a neat find before we vacate the house.

I can see your son's bumper sticker on his car when he gets older: " My Dad Can Beat Your Dad Detecting". You certainly found a nice one. Congrats on it happening in front of your son too. Greatest story posted lately!

Thanks, Old Dude, I think once we get settled in Ireland and we go on a few outings and find some pretty awesome stuff, he'll be hooked for sure. I know I first became interested in metal detectors when I was about 10 years old and got an old radio shack metal detector for Christmas. It found metal, mostly trash, but it made for some fun afternoons. We're going to be leasing the east wing of a castle after we get there and I'm hoping I can get permission from the owners to do some metal detecting on the property around the castle, should make for some cool finds.

I wish you, your family and especially your lady all the best. That's a really neat find and hopefully a good omen for the future. I'm Irish myself and hope to take my mom in her dream vacation soon. All the best, Abe
