Can anyone who has some knowledge of old brand logos check out the item in this post, not even sure what item the logo is supposed to represent on the bottom.

If it was a printing plate, shouldn't everything be backwards?

if you look at the one picture it IS reversed, the other picture has been 'flipped' to better be able to read it. If you look at set type with a mirror you can read it the right way.
