How you going ? folks been a while. Wondering was been happening. Well i have new partner and we have been quite busy hunting out a new site . Good guess A large hard rock gold mine. This one is a real beauty. Main shaft was over 3700 feet deep and massive plant and machinery set up. The quartz stamper batteries had 88x 6 200pound hammers alone . Gold yeild between 1860and 1930 was about 140, 000 oz's of gold. We have been to the site a couple of times and found some nice gold species. But this large piece of Ordovician Grey rock with a capping of quartz blow the the md off its dial . Only half buried. After cutting the rock into slices we ended up with this. tinpan

Sweet gold! That's a sweet piece for your collection. If you find a lot more, will you crush and pan it?

Great to hear from from you again there TP, I was wondering what you have been up to. What a great find you have discovered. Do you know yet how much gold was in that rock?
We have several old gold mining areas around here that date back to the 1800s, I plan on getting into a few of these soon but I will need a better MD more suited for gold. May I ask which MD do you recommend, with out spending $6000?
thanks,
ZDD
