Question on hunting soccer fields

Does any of you guys have tips on soccer fields? I have gained permission to hunt a couple close to home. Second question: Do you guys typically find the rings to be in the grass roots or deeper?

My whites picks up gold rings in the foil - pull tab range. The small ring I found Sunday rang a solid 13 vid. I have went over large gold rings that ring in the bottle cap range. However most seems to ring in the foil-pull tab range. (10-30) Vdi

Bottlecaps on the AT Pro ring in the penny/dime range and pulltabs (usually) ring in the nickel range or below. Foil is indiscriminate about where it rings in at.

Incidentally, scotk9 and I hit a baseball field last night for about an hour. I took home over $2 in change and a small .925 silver ring with a yin yang on it that rang just like a dime. No gold, for either of us. Since my regular historic spot is overgrown, I think I'm gonna go on an athletic field rampage this month until they cut the grass again.

Grid search the orange areas first, as they hold the most booty based an years of hunting football and soccer fields. Most of your finds will be between 1"-4" deep. Good luck!

Good luck on the field hunting. It takes a lot of patience to work out gold. You just got to dig the other stuff to find it. Hint if you run into a chewed up can, pick up and move. If you get tired of digging the other stuff dig only the targets That vary a number or two. It also seems that the rings are more often near the coins. But then again so is the trash. Hahaha.
