Ya , you left me out...
I own four manual chairs and one electric I use when off crutches..
None get me off road well. I get out though.
The electric one was bought cheap. Tore down and cleaned and serviced at home and is on reserve.
But , they are mobility. And as such are an interesting study. Capitol/money , design, engineering , actual function in chairs vary greatly.....
A favorite development in chair design and free-sharing information , and more importantly the caring for disabled in many countries regardless of politics or wars is Whirlwind Wheelchairs. Co-founder Ralf has an outstanding perspective.
Chairs are designed to be serviceable in areas where a trip to a wheelchair shop is not going to happen. And tolerate rough ground conditions. That matters!
Fit/sizing of a chair, and cushion type; is vital. But a broken chair does nothing for it's users mobility and independence.
Sales generate chair donations. To those receiving a chair, it is often life changing.
Anyways....About 50,000 American dollars can buy quite a mobility device. Crazy. But seeing different types is fun too.
