Yep I still do my daily walks...got one of those Russian type suede hats lined with fleece, heavy duty boots with 2 pairs of sox, multiple layers of clothes.....

Heck just all the clothes I'm wearing gives me a good workout forget the walking....

All loaded up. All the diving and fishing gear I can pack.leaving for eleuthera tomorrow at 6 am. Should be there in time for a nice afternoon beach comb. Had one shot to make it over before the weather comes. I'll slow down and fish for wahoo around andros island. Then we'll put the hammer down and power on to eleuthera. Woooo hooo here we go. Adventure time !!

Hey AARC take a look at some old charts of the bahamas and see what you can see about royal island. Should be listed on some older maps as it was one of 3 very old ports in the bahamas. Henry every stopped in there before going on to Nassau with his loot. It's right next to spanish wells. I call it treasure island. It's got incredible potential and history. Only if your interested or bored mate. Just curious if its marked on some of those old maps of yours.

I parted with a bunch of Bahama charts when downsizing... Florida is my interest primarily.

I do have a framed Bahamas chart from ? period... I think I still have it.

Digitally I have tons of charts... which include Bahamas... also I can stroll digital access links as well...

so I can research in morn... currently I am no condition OR position to do any research tonight... in fact on my way out as we speak... was almost gonna say night on log off when I saw you post.

Cool.....I'm gonna poke around too. I'll be there for 4 months so ain't no hurry. It's an interesting little spot. American privateers burned the settlement 1812-1814. The quote in the museum on spanish wells is"they stole the gold". You might find this little island pretty interesting. I'm compiling my own little note book on it from my few brief recons. The place has that vibe.......like there more to this place thans written and known. I posted pick on RPT of stone walls and ruins. Woo hooo here we go again.
