This blow is really bringing in the jetsam and flotsam. Thought I had ambergris this morning. View attachment 1673652
Piece on left is not it, piece on right 90 percent sure isn't but will get the hot needle test anyway. Piece in middle is the caudle bone of a large squid. This is a sign that ambergris is close. The sperm whales eat these squid and produce the ambergris. The lack of squid beaks, chitin specks, and odor are a reason I doubt the piece on the right but it's a close match. Conditions are looking good to find it. I have a one week beach combing, metal detecting, and diving trip planned in 2 weeks. Woooo hooo !! Gonna dive up some bottles and hunt some ambergris.
