Have totally lost any sort of off-the-wall schedule I might've had before. Now I'm just in "Coast Mode". Been over a week and a half now and still eating almost nuttin' but mashed taters & gravy. On a good note, the infection is getting better now. On a bad note, I realized yesterday morning that I'd been hit head-on with a cold on top of everything. And on an out-of-tune note, at least I love my wife's mashed taters & gravy!! View attachment 1594198

With any luck I'll be graduating up to oatmeal by the first of next week.

I have had many meals like that. After a few root canals and crowns, I haven't had an issue for years. Problem was my sinus sack was resting on my roots, so every time a had allergies or the onset of a cold, I was in misery.

Thanks for the information about PayPal! Just got me a coffee container for broken pottery. I'm probably the only person that keeps broken pottery.

I do too.......ill make a table with a mosaic made fom pottery shards. Some are special to me . Pottry shards from the galleons are sold for cash and made into jewelery. Every piece helps me date sites and lets you know what type money these old timers had. The finer the china the welthier the residents were. Usally !!

The sideways pic is one of my best shards, a 16th century spanish galleon olive jar. Ive been offered 1200$ for this piece, but no sale here, its one of my favorite pieces.

I was looking for information to make a privy probe.

Just a long length of rod made of aluminum or steel, or even fiberglass. A nice handle will help your hand from getting tired. A small ceramic bead on the tip helps even more in identifying what type of material your tapping against. Go gently when tapping for glass. I have broken some great bottles, but have also found and dug some great ones too, so probe carefully.

Folks,

Most of our garden has been planted for this season. Hopefully we'll have a decent harvest for our efforts.

Both me and my wife really enjoy gardening and best of all whatever we grow ourselves is much better than you get at the store.

1:-Along the back fence there's rhubarb, there's some garlic mixed in as well as some black raspberry plants, along the side fence red currants and more black raspberries. In the center boxes tomatoes with the red sheeting to reflect additional sun to increase production we had something like 250 lbs last year from 18 or so plants. Believe there's a bit of celery root in one of the boxes and the herbs are savory and lavender. The last box we'll turn and plant bush beans tomorrow.

2:-The corner box beside the storage shed there's more rhubarb, swiss chard, green onions, garlic and more black raspberry bushes out of view also a solitary elderberry bush in the foreground.

3:-There's some mini potatoes under the mesh planted, a couple of habenaro pepper plants, some more celery roots and different types of leaf lettuce.

4:-Some more leaf lettuce, chives, garlic chives, and more garlic and green onions.

5:-In the box along the back of the house we have some black currant bushes.

Nice work bill......everything is blooming down here with all the rain we've had. We have fruit hanging on every branch down here. Ill take pics today of some of the fauna. Flowers and fruit everywhere right now.

When I was 15, I bought my first air rifle and the very first shot was against a tire 15 meters away which was lying in a pond. What can I say... the pellet comes directly back in my direction and hit me on the ba**s.

So I would not try this test or shoot against rubber anymore

All types of fishing oddjob......hard to even list all the different types of fishing. Also diving of all types. Check out my fish pics thread. Wrightdigger is my second in command on the fish pic thread, and RTR has a lot of striper pics on the thread. Its been alot of fun and I post pics of all the different types of fishing I do. They just moved me from mug shots to everything else forum. Almost 40 pages of fish pics now. If you can get them to load.

Yup, I can relate there. When in USAF, they removed all 5 of my wisdom teeth. Yes, 5. I had one growing up into a sinus cavity.

Few years back, a quack dentist ended up shoving a tooth root into my left sinus cavity. It'd rattle with every step.

The oral surgeon who took it out patched the hole, but one side didn't take. Will always want to snag on food now.

...And the fun just never seems to end.

I was told that farms, especially poor country farms, didn't bother with privies. I don't know how true that is. I can tell you I spent all of my new years day 2017 probing and found nothing.

Yup, if there was a river, creek or stream nearby, that's often where the toilet was. Didn't even have to flush.
