Thanks for the chuckles...the ancient varieties of corn were not the tender sweet corn we know today. It was hard and meant for grinding into a flour and used that way. Kind of like what we would use to make corn bread or polenta.

Good morning Tnet friends.

I apologize for my dropping off here... But the thread being threatened with closing over such a petty infraction of a couple of users has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Once again a successful endeavor designed to bring this site up is in obvious jeopardy... which is hard to even believe from even a website "business" standpoint... let alone a loyalty one.

IF this thread is "closed"... like the RPT...
it would be obvious that I am part of a site that does not have enough insight to see its own future of continued stagnation through these types of actions.
And can no longer be par of a website that takes one step forward and 2 steps backwards VIA "Cutting off the nose to spite the face".
(which for those unfamiliar with this expression is an expression to describe a needlessly self-destructive over-reaction to a problem).

With a heavy heart I would "chalk this up" as an experience and if this thread goes... I may also go... or at least "drop out" of participation. (like many other top users in the past)

In good conscience...
I dedicated 5 years (as of this coming Sunday to exact day) of participation and work/help here and have enjoyed my time and users I have met and wouldn't change it for anything.

I really have enjoyed meeting many of you on this site.

Hey AARC, could you describe the nature of the infractions in a general way?
Is this coming from the top? As long as rules are not being broken, there should not be an issue.
I would like to know what the concerns are before posting anything off topic.
Is the problem being off topic? Threads which keep users engaged, even if not treasure related, are a good thing. In my opinion.
