Bill thats a very special one for me. I spent 3 months on the "continental drifter"filling in as first mate, while the fulltime mate was on leave for the birth of his son. It was one of the crowning jewels of my yachting career. Jimmy was a very cool cat and a gracious boss. I used to take him by small boat surfing every morn, and then come and get him later. Hes an avid fisherman, and loves surfing and the water in general. My brother inlaw was given the business model for landshark beer by another friend who works on the "last mango" jimmey's fishing boat. That bussiness model has made the brewery and distillery an instant success. I got to sail with jimmey on his sail boat named "music"and after telling my current boss about the boat we ended up buying it from jimmey. I also entertained billy joel (a close friend of his), and christy brinkly. They would come to the yacht at different times because they are divoced now. Jimmey has pics of some of my big sharks on the yacht hanging in the crew galley area. He was amazed that I actually came from keylargo or was a genuine conch. Thats the term used for people born in the keys. Jimmy and I and some crew all went to see the movie hurt locker together. He wore a big hat and collard shirt and no one noticed who he was !! I had a blast those 3 months and made great money. When I walked into town with the boat shirt on .....well lets just say that lots of women wanted to talk to me, and many wanted to come back to the boat with me. Lets just say that working for celebrity's has its perks, and all kinds of people want to be your friend. When you walk into a bar everyone looks points and mumbles something. What a great time that was !!!
