Hey Bart.....On the striped bass in the Hudson,we talked about ....Just upstream, from the 2nd bridge(the old RR bridge) crossing the Hudson at Poughkeepsie . Is where you want to start looking for them.Heading upstream,Once you are under the 2nd bridge stay on the WEST shoreline of the river, about 50 yards off the shoreline.And going for about 2 miles upstream from that point. They migrate up to spawn in the feeder creeks. If no good there try looking in the Rondout creek in Kingston NY.But dont go pass the marina in my post #4293 as it gets too tight for your boat to turn around.

Also Bart. The depth of the area described above runs from 50 to 60 feet.

Good morning people.......we were first up and out, and we are making incredible time. Just passed north landing swing bridge. Coming up on great bridge lock. This is the location of a rev war skirmish called the battle of great bridge. There are piles of canon balls stacked at the lock that were recovered there. Wish I could do a little hunt there. I have never in 20 years been first up with no traffic ahead of us !! We are smoking along.

Yup thats the one RTR. nice video, conditions look identical this morn. Just saw 2 bald eagles !! Hard to capture with my phone. Have seen an amazing amount of ospreys, hawks, and eagles on this stretch !!
