Bart....When you pulled into the Rondout creek did you notice the remains of the sunken boats ? They have been there 4 ever.Maybe some 1700s

Jeff......you better bring friends, we now have the honor of being the largest brewing and bottling plant in florida. I think ?? We were the second largest in florida but since have expanded. And.......last week we won our first rum tasting festival !!! We now have a gold medal to add to the label !! I say we....but its actually my brother in laws business. I dont know whats holding up the vodka, but its coming soon if its not out already.

Yes I did....off to the left/port just after the light house. They look awsome from google earth !! Got several large spikes on the shoreline there. Got the horseshoes just up the bank from there. All the barges were pulled by horses up the creek back in the day.

Lots of stuff there left to be found if only you could dive it.The Viz is zero.And the muck is DEEP.Lost a set of keys(30) getting out of the boat.Knew exactly where they went in(marked the dock). Used a heavy magnet to recover them...no good... Dove the spot ,no good at least 3 ft of black thick muck that's all I found.

I would love to spend some time here really hitting it hard. Its like you said RTR, so many sites that are 1800s or earlier !! One of those little outboard powered pontoon house boats would be ideal !! Load up the kayaks and explore the shores of the hudson at your liesure.

That reminds me.A lot of foreign cargo ships that deliver goods up the Hudson. Fill up their cargo-bays with fresh water from the river.To deliver/sell it back to their countries.

Use to have a blast following the Hugh ships with my little 20 footer w/150 Merc. outboard. Sometimes catching and riding really big waves,that were twice as tall as my boat .
