Well.....I have to admit ....I know nothing about horses. So my antique horse shoes that I found in kingston are nothing more than cheap gaming horse shoes. Glad I didnt post them up with high expectations !!! Started to wonder when there were no holes to nail them on !!!

Were staying here for a crew change. Im out the door tomorrow at 4 am to go treasure hunt in vero. Wooooo hoooo !! Man....the kid who is filling in is bringing me some cool arrowheads and other artifacts that he found in gainsville florida. Cant wait to see what he has for me.

You guys would laugh at the so called albany yacht club !! Aint much to it !! Ive seen restrooms that were larger and had more amenities. Cant even plug in to shorepower or the lights will flicker in the clubhouse.

I know that on this site Historian is used very loose, but mate do not put those of us who are formally educated and earned our PhDs in the same boat with those people who think paid memberships to ICOM and online chat room makes them a Historian. We are not the same as them, not even close. When I was lobbying for tougher laws in the illicit trafficking of cultural property and stolen works of art, these uneducated ICOM Trolls where just recruiting membership fees; infact they have never done anything productive at all in regards to History.

The divers like you who go out and find items have been more productive in history than these people ever will be and I would certainly not class you in the same boat with them either.

Randy, I make a killer catfish bait for my grandsons' catfish derby.

I take some fish food that we use to fee the fish in our pond. Grind it up in a food chopper I bought at a garage sale for $1.00. Add some chicken liver that I had set out in the sun and gotten real stinky. Add some dead minnows that I have collected from around the pond. Then some flour to a consistency that makes it adhere to a hook. Leave it set out and get good and stinky. It gets maggots, but that just adds protein.

This is a quote from a thread I started earlier this week:

My sister-in-law came over for the weekend. We spent Friday going to garage sales. We got to this one and I found a Bible that was copyright 1895 and the inscription in the back says," Freddie Manning's Book presented by his Mother Dec. 25 1899." I thought that was pretty cool. I also bought a little book that is very thick. The first few pages are missing. In the Preface it says: More than one hundred years have passed over the Christian Church since she was first presented with with the Psalms and Hymns of Dr. Watts.
At the end of the Preface it says, " James Gallaher Cincinnati December, 1834."

I had high hopes to researching the lineage of the Bible and returning it to an ancestor if I found one. Well, that proved to be impossible without knowing more info about where this guy was from. Apparently that was a common name.

Anyways, I was on another forum and found out that a lady I chat with is an ancestor to Dr. Watts. I sent the book to her. Now I am anxiously waiting to here when she receives it. So cool to pass it on.

Well here's a Polish story for you. A few houses from us there used to be this fellow who managed to escape during the communist regime and ended up in Canada.

Nice guy if a bit rough around the edges....lol. Well he used to make his own dill pickles, sauerkraut and Kebassa sausage.

Well one Saturday morning after breakfast I headed off for my morning walk and I got whiffs from Edward's smoker well he had his gate open and he spotted me and started hollering my name....Bill....Bill...lol.

Well I went into the yard to see him and he was smoking his sausages now keep in mind this is like 8:30 a.m. and he orders me to set down at the picnic table and proceeds to go into the house and comes out with a bottle of Polish vodka and 2 shot glasses.....lol.

Well let's just say I didn't get my morning walk in and floated home about lunch time had my food and went to bed for a well deserved nap.
