I throw every time 5 kilo beach sand and some shells into my bathtub and than dropping all my shipwreck coins before I step in

If you don´t have any wreck sites in your area, you have to simulate it

It´s a shame I have no escudos yet.... I would take a bath 5 times a day

Thanks for that mate; love hearing when another diver cleans up the waters. Good on you. Seen too many just go right past it, ignore it or worst off see it, leave it there and complain about it.

A couple month ago we donated to a small volunteer group in Greece pulling ghost nets out of the water. Old mate of mine who retired out of 23 SAS in 09 runs his expedition kayak business down there island hopping tourist, mostly Team guys, Operator and Private Mil just decompressing is about all he gets for business, most folks do not find it fun yaking up to 30 miles a day for holiday. He reached out to a bunch of us telling us about this group of fisherman he works with.

They volunteer their time to the government for tax breaks cleaning up the waters. We donated 2K, nothing serious at all considering their expenses, but many others did to. They get only tax breaks as support; but about 3 weeks ago he sent me a link to a local newspaper there talking about their effort and pulling out like 20 tons in nets this year so far. Then I saw another article on another outlet about it.

Called my mate and he said that with the exposure they have been getting lots of support in means of cash, gear and even people offering to just come down help.

So good on you for cleaning up.

There is a new user on her; Paleo something, fella makes youtube vids diving for lost items, find some good stuff. But about two vids back at the end of the vid he showed all the trash they pulled out. Thought that was pretty cool; I enjoy the vids of dive finds or snorkelling, but I like it much more when they are cleaning up too and showing off their trash they brought up.

IF you only knew how much trash and debris I have removed from our waters and lands.

Got Certified on SCUBA many years ago. Very 1st. dive was under ice (never again). Love diving in the islands (not into low viz waters) .And 33 ft. is enough for me ,Beyond that I have problems equalizing pressure.

Btw... In July if time permits I will begin diving again... will be gearing up boat next week actually... 5th of July is always a major cleanup day...

Long story... but have been busy with home life over the past 4 years and money and time have been in short supply... time being the biggest hurdle.

But regardless... if all goes as planned I should visit some old areas that I use to dive and are worth the efforts... also I have new areas that I have been longing to check out.

I will start taking pictures for you guys... have a Go Pro that has only been used a few times... that also needs use anyway :P

One of the MAIN reasons do not dive is I lost my diving partner 5 years ago... and have been unable to find someone compatable to resume.

I do not dive alone.

I have and do... but only in very shallow water.

My girl does not dive... she is deck hand / compressor supervisor.

She gets freaked over sharks... which after witnessing my encounters with them she quit. heh

Yes dive partner is key... someone who you can look at and know that you can "bet your life" on.

I was a risk taker bigtime in my youth and dove in anything anywhere anytime... I look back and cringe now at my risks.
