Good luck with the restoration....what happens if pieces are missing do you just leave them out or try to add a patch.

Don´t know yet. I can restore missing parts out of leather but it is the question what my friend likes.
If it is to much that it missing, it makes no sense. Than it is better to make a complete reconstruction of an object or show a sketch or something from a complete one.
So far I know the "lid" of the cartridge is missing completely.
