When I Ordered it new from the factory in 67, it was $3,300 Total

In 1970 I paid $3300 and change for my 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner.

AARC,

Some people are finally waking up about the darker roofs. There's a municipality in Montreal where I live that have subsidies for people who redo their roofs with a lighter colored material. Even though we are quite far north it gets extremely hot and humid in the middle of summer and the inner city has mostly flat roofs with tar and stone finish, ie; black which radiates lots of heat during the summer with limited green spaces to compensate.

Regards + HH

Bill

And I never understood why most roof materials were always finished in "dark" colored materials...

I mean... In Antarctica that would be great... Alaska perhaps... but sheesh.

Didn't anyone get the "darker is hotter" memo ?

againstthewind,

When I bought my house in 1985 I took possession on April 1st me and my wife took 1 weeks vacation and the first weekend around April 7th I was raking leaves in my golf shirt. This morning on my daily walk I was wearing a tuque, parka, gloves and winter boots.

For what it's worth I had read somewhere or other that the amount of sun spot activity on the sun has a bit impact on the level of heat. They're kind of like little fireworks that tends to increase how much heat is given off. Supposedly we're going into a period of low sun spot activity.

Regards + HH

Bill

Don´t deny it openly! In some countries you face prison for denying global warming :laughing7:

And for telling Chemtrails and weather modification exist, you get forced medical treatment...

I'm glad we walked away from the Paris Climate Accord.
Now maybe with the money we'll be saving as a result,, we can hand out heaters.

Kid, when this below is the coin, it has some chloride problems.

Put it in a glass on a plastic cap and fill a little bit ammonia in the glass and close the lid. If you see dark blue drops on the coin and the sick areas, pull it out and wash it very good with distilled water. Do this again until no more dark blue drops are to see on the coin. Watch the process the entire time! don´t need long time. The sick parts will later be light blue but the coin is stable than and this procedure is not dangerous as using BTA (MAKES Cancer!!). Best coating for such sick pieces is hot wax!
