A lot of people don't like the idea, but after doing some research, I got a new bench grinder a while back and plan to use wooden discs with various grits of media on them. Will be nice to get those mirrored edges so quickly. Plus, I have different angles on different knives -- depends on the use. Setting up a jig that'll make sharpening much faster and more precise.

Not to mention, wife has LOTS of things she wants buffed back to a mirror finish. Was her choice for me to get a "deluxe" grinder. *lol*

I'm actually going to set up a 2nd setup using an electric drill for the motor, and have 4 or 5 different wheels, each with its own grit. That'll be nice!

.

Recognized it and was still wondering...
I don´t understand the joke at all. May someone can translate it in an understandable way for me :laughing7:
I am thinking and thinking and try to translate it but I am complete gone lost... LOL

I'm guessing someone made a mistake, but don't know. Won't have fast internet again for another week, so no need for me to try playing videos. Maybe that clip has been modified? :dontknow:

If you mean one like this, they are in fact great! But nothing for a backpack :laughing7:
You can´t get a more precise cut going it by hand!

Yes, but isn't it supposed to be "One FLEW Over the Cuckoo's Nest"?? Read the top of that video shot that appears in the post -- it says "One FLOOR Over the Cuckoo's Nest".

..

btw, who is this long haired woman sitting right to Nicholson ? Like the atavistic facial impressions. Exactly my taste :laughing7:

Tom,
Like you I enjoy a beer that has a bit of a bite not wimpy....you need some hops to give it character which is where the bitterness comes from.

The beer I brew is from concentrated kits at least it has some flavor unlike a lot of commercial beer in North America and not loaded with chemicals nor pasteurized.

That's no woman. It's a guy....an American Indian. I'm sure you would've recognized this if we still would force them to wear their bows and arrows, or stand out front of a business as if made from wood. ROFL - Copy.gif

Nope, that's not the sharpener I have in mind. Let me find what I'm looking for.....might take a while with this slow connection (throttled-down speeds).

Haven't seen these, but I think they'll give you an idea of what I have in mind:

I have an electric drill with a lot of torque that is also reversible, so plan to set that up to power a set of multiple discs mounted on a length of solid rod (not all-thread).

Tom,
Probably just a typo I wouldn't try to figure it out any other way.

Now I know what you mean!
This are cheap to get. I remember saw those for approx 60 $ here on German Ebay.

Never tried to sharpen on one like this. Is it easy to do ?

Tom,

When I think of beer drinking in Germany somehow I always have an image of Oktoberfest and large steins like these.

RTR,

I guess the big brewers are feeling the heat with all the micro breweries springing up and making real beer. Tom is fortunate because in Germany they follow the purity laws that go back to medieval times and are not allowed to put loads of crap in their beer.

Folks,

I know a lot of the older folks and myself included question if the younger folks have the same work ethics, etc.....as us.

Well there's still a lot of smart kids out there. Here's an idea that's long overdue to help clean up the world's oceans.

There's also another young guy who came up with a woman's bra with sensors to help detect breast cancer since his mom was diagnosed with it just can't find the article right now.

My wife just learned me a new survival lesson one minute ago.

1. You can survive 3 weeks without food.

2. 3 days without water

3. But just one day without coffee!

---

I think ARC will like this! :laughing7:
