Red and Blue tails on halves

I'm finding a fair number of halves that someone colored the eagle's red or blue. Is that some sort of standard CRH code?

Yes it is. It's code for "I obviously have WAY too much time on my hands."

I went through $150 in halves a couple weeks ago. Over half had the red or blue tails. There was also $25 worth of bicentenials. No silver.
