I recently dug my first ( and hopefully not last) reale. I would love to find a reference book that provides some in-depth information about reales, and other early colonial era coinage. Any recommendations? Thanks, and HH!

The Whitman Encyclopedia of Colonial and Early American coins is a good book on most colonial coins. You would need a separate reference for circulating foreign coinage like your Spanish coin though. I am sure there are good reference books on those but I am not familiar with them, good luck in your quest!

Thanks for the advice. Much appreciated.

you can find stuff all over using google

One thing you may NEVER get is a local telling you where they're finding them! TTC
