Revolutionary War Shield???

Here is another one of our cool finds yesterday. It was found near where a revolutionary War camp was believed to be. Can you ID it thanks!

It's a harness boss.  It's not Rev. War, but probably later--and was used still into the CW...  Although it's really a civilian item too.
