Roadside Park Produces Another Half (Update 11-10, More Silver)

[Just_Sean]

Yesterday I went back to what used to be a roadside park that I have been hunting for about two months now. I had a previous post discussing two first for me at this site. I found my first silver Walking Liberty Half and first mercury dime. Well I got lucky again and found another Walking Half (1945) and a 1916-D wheatie ( wish is was a mercury dime). This site continues to produce and I still have lots of area to search. Here are my totals so far.

2 Walking Liberty Halfs- 1943 and 1945
1 1942 mercury dime
1 1952 Rosie
1 1943-P nickel
1 silver ring
22 wheaties

Will add more pics soon

Sean, Nice and congrats again.........Thanks for the info on your research ideas!! You have really made me strain my neck while driving on these older stretches of roads I have here in Missouri.....I saw probably 5 or 6 roadside parks while going up north to deer hunt a couple of weeks ago. I was itching to get out and stretch my legs and do a little detecting at those spots!! Nascarfan
