I find this thread odd... no offense.
Starting with someone claiming they have solved one of the most famous treasure stories... which in itself is not new here on TN.
Then the OP says they are "too lazy" to go look / dig / etc. (which also is nothing new on TN).

What makes it odd is that this thread has actually continued this long / far.

I was not really referring to you... i was speaking in general about the OP's claim and it going on to this point.
I for one will continue to watch (not sure why at times) to see where exactly this goes / unfolds. heh

There are 4 alphabetical strings when you use the key from the DOI on Cipher 1.

Pantomath indicated he solved the ciphers. So I asked for letters at specific locations where the cipher numbers are common between the four strings. My thought being... if the ciphers are solved correctly, the common letters/numbers found in the dechered.message would be the same....but his message produced different letters for the same cipher number.

I would use the same on any cipher solution.

The highest number in Cipher 1 is 2906. I belive the key that never came from St louis would have been a list of numbers 1 through 2906. Each number would be assigned a letter. This would be consistent withe the DOI key making it easy for Robert morriss to decipher the message to locate the treasure and distribute it among the heirs.

If I am correct, the there should only be one letter per number. Any message decrypted the has two or more letter for the same number would not be the same message produced by TB.

Base on the method described above, It would be very easy for me to develop an excel spreadsheet to allow someone to copy their solved message (with no punctuation) and calculate the accuracy or completeness.
